RESOLUTION HANDED DOWN BY THE GENERAL MANAGER OF PUBLIC BUSINESS ENTITY RED.ES MODIFYING THE LIST OF TERMS RESERVED FOR SECOND-LEVEL “.ES” DOMAIN NAMES.
Based on its accumulated experience of carrying out the task of registering “.es” domain names since the approval of the lists by the Instruction of 12 September 2005, the Assignment Authority recommends that the “.es” domain names included in the lists should be updated, adding new terms in order to guarantee their efficacy and compliance. Due to the forthcoming entry into force of free registration for “.es” domain names with multilingual characters under the terms set out in the Instruction handed down by the General Manager of Red.es on multilingual characters using the “.es” extension (1 June 2007), it is now necessary to grant reserved status to a series of terms relating to the Royal Household and the names of two State institutions, the Real Academia de la Lengua (Royal Academy of the Spanish Language) and the Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española, S. A. (Spanish Radio and Television Corporation).
In view of the above, and in accordance with the fourth provision of the Instruction of the Chairman of Red.es, dated 12 September 2005, approving the lists of prohibited or reserved terms for second-level ".es” domain names,
I AGREE
To include the terms listed in the Annex to this Resolution in the reserved terms listed in sub-section three of Provision Seven of the National Plan for Internet Domain Names using the country code corresponding to Spain “.es”, approved by Order ITC/1542/2006 of 19 May.
