Resolution on reserved and prohibited terms in “.es” domains (27 September 2007)

 

RESOLUTION HANDED DOWN BY THE GENERAL MANAGER OF PUBLIC BUSINESS ENTITY RED.ES MODIFYING THE LIST OF TERMS RESERVED FOR SECOND-LEVEL “.ES” DOMAIN NAMES.

 

At the request of the Government of Spain, which considers the terms “español” and “española” to be substantive qualifiers of the constitutional bodies of the Spanish state, and in accordance with the fourth provision of the Instruction of the Chairman of Red.es, dated 12 September 2005, approving the lists of prohibited or reserved terms for second-level “.es” domain names,


I AGREE


To include the terms “español”, “española”, “españoles” and “españolas” in the reserved terms listed in sub-section three of Provision Seven of the National Plan for Internet Domain Names using the country code corresponding to Spain “.es”, approved by Order ITC/1542/2006 of 19 May.
