CENTR Jamboree 2026

Red.es, represented by the Dominios.es team, participated at the beginning of this month in the CENTR Jamboree held in Berlin and organised by the heads of DENIC, the managing body of the ".de" domain for Germany.

This annual meeting brings together Europe's leading national country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) registries as well as international experts from the DNS ecosystem.

This year's edition focused on domain name system security, regulatory adaptation (NIS 2, DSA, e Evidence), the use of Artificial Intelligence in registries, the fight against abuse on the Internet, and the evolving role of ccTLDs in an increasingly complex digital environment. These sessions allowed for the exchange of best practices and the strengthening of cooperation between European ccTLDs in technical, legal and strategic areas.

The contribution of Dominios.es: detecting suspicious domains with AI

The Spanish delegation was represented by the director of Dominios.es, María del Campo, accompanied by Red.es technical specialist, Alejandro Cañas, who had the opportunity to present the paper "amaIA - Suspicious domain detection system in .es".

During his speech, Alejandro Cañas presented the amaIA system, an AI-based solution for the early detection of suspicious domains in the ".es” sphere, aimed at improving the prevention and mitigation of DNS abuse. The presentation sparked considerable interest among the audience, especially in the context of the reinforcement of the NIS2 obligations on security, correct database data and cooperation between registries.

The Red.es team also participated in the working group sessions on the third day, with an additional presentation on the new ".es" dashboard, focused on improving operational visibility and data analysis for decision making.

Commitment to a safer and more resilient Internet

The participation of Dominios.es in the CENTR Jamboree 2026 reinforces its commitment to security, innovation and international cooperation, as well as to the continuous improvement of the .es domain for the benefit of Internet users.

Events like this consolidate the role of ccTLDs as key players in the stability of the DNS and in building a more secure, reliable and resilient Internet for citizens, businesses and institutions.
